I first met Camille Eide at Mount Hermon where we shared a bench in the amazing Angela Hunt’s workshop where we learned about the bones of a novel. We’d 
both written a bit, but we were still as green as the new foliage on Mount Hermon’s redwoods that spring. How and why we were drawn to each other had something to do with a divine plan, I’m certain, and somehow we decided to stay in touch which has led to a relationship that extends beyond writing chum. While at Mount Hermon I had a nibble or two on an agent, and Camille had a breathtaking encounter on the plane ride home and soon the emails were flying across the country as we shared news of our writing ups and downs. We began critiquing one another’s work and baring our souls, commiserating all things novel related, and in that process, I found a sister of the heart.
From the top of that mountain, our paths have taken much different routes, criss-crossing here and there, hitting bumps and having the other come alongside and offer a hand. Sometimes encouragement. Sometimes brutal truth. Always spoken with love and respect. Always bathed in prayer. And Camille could tell you (although I doubt she would) that she’s seen some really awful writing come from my end. We’ve grown together, and now I’m thrilled beyond words that the first of her novels is now available.
Like There’s No Tomorrow is an amusing yet tender love story about two kind, single caretakers, two quirky, old Scottish sisters bent on reuniting, and too many agendas. It’s a tale of family, fiery furnaces, falling in love, faith, and the gift of each new day.
